Lenovo to Launch New and Advanced ThinkPad Business Laptops In The Market Soon

Lenovo has announced that very soon it will launch six new ThinkPad laptops in the global market. It has planned to launch a new W series workstation product, the W520, Three new  laptops would belong to its T series, the T420s, T420, T520, and two to its L series, which earlier replaced the R series, the L420 and L520.

Russell Compton, Lenovo’s Worldwide ThinkPad Product Marketing Manager stated that "The industry is moving towards more entertainment features in business computing, and these are reflected in these models."

Lenovo is promoting various new characteristics of these new laptops, which includes video and voice calling enhancements, power & performance management, and self aware and adaptive features, however, the characteristic that might be able to draw the most attention from costumers is the enhancements to the battery life.

Moreover, these would be the first business class laptops which will feature NVIDIA Optimus automatic graphic switching technology. Apart from this, the T Series and W Series laptops would offer 33 percent enhanced battery performance.

During the performance intensive tasks like data analysis, video editing, and 3D applications, the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 enhances the processor speed significantly. Lenovo Turbo Boost+ technology let the laptops to keep on in Turbo Boost for a longer period by keeping the processor’s temperature below than the required thermal limits.

Russell Compton stated, "The extended battery life draws from features that aren't being used while watching movies or playing music." And, further he added, "It switches automatically between Intel and NVIDIA when it doesn't need the high end capability to save power."

 
These new ThinkPad T, L and W Series would be available in the global market in March. Apart from this, the cost price for the T420s, T420, T520, L420, L520 and W520 would be approx. $USD 1,329, $779, $909, $719, $719 and $1329, respectively.
